- Having cancer and feeling fine. Treating cancer and feeling like shit.
- Having someone sit down next to you at the pedicure drying station (PS you haven’t had a pedicure since starting chemo because you weren’t allowed to because getting a pedicure is chemo-dangerous) and thinking, “hey, the person you just sat next to has two cancers” and wondering how many times you sat next to a stranger who was just really going through it and you had no idea.
- Putting on a bra and only having to adjust one boob.
- Hot flashes.
- Having people freak out about not being able to eat salads because of the diarrhea lettuce parasite or whatever and being like dawg do you know how many days I haven’t been allowed to eat salad this year or how many days I’ve only been allowed to have cooked fruits and veggies this year or how many days I’ve been afraid of having diarrhea this year or how many days I’ve just been scared about my health this year? It sucks. We all miss salads. But we are strong and adaptable. We will persevere. We will be stronger on the other side of this. Also, please vote.
